Beautiful Collector Doll. Hug Me Close is doll number three in a series of four dolls in the “Toddlers And Teddy Bears” collection by Susan Wakeen. Her name is Mary and she loves her teddy bear so much that she’s giving her a big hug. She is wearing a pink romper and there is a pink ribbon tied in her hair. She is bare footed, has blue eyes and fair hair. Her head, lower arms and legs are crafted of fine bisque porcelain. Her face is artfully painted and the clothes are hand made. She stands approximately 38cm high. She was bought from the Danbury Mint in the USA in the early 1990’s. She has been displayed behind glass. She has never been handled by children. She is in mint condition. She comes in her original box with numbered certificate of authenticity and doll stand. I am listing all four dolls in this series and all have matching numbers.
